Alaska Amends Notary Law to Allow Remote Notarizations

Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy signed into law a bill, House Bill 124 (HB 124), which revises Alaska’s notary law to permit remote notarizations.

Among other things, HB 124 establishes the requirements for conducting electronic and remote notarizations in Alaska.  The changes made by HB 124 will go into effect on January 1, 2021.
