California AG Proposes Additional Amendments to CCPA Regulations
The California Attorney General (AG) recently released additional proposed modifications to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regulations. The proposed changes published on December 10, 2020, respond to comments and provide clarity to the October 12, 2020 proposal.
The proposed modifications include a revision to clarify that a business selling personal information collected from consumers must inform consumers of their right to opt-out of the sale. The proposal also includes provisions for an opt-out button that a business may use in addition to posting a notice of the right to opt-out.
