CFPB Appoints Ombudsman for Private Education Loans

On August 16, 2019, the CFPB announced the appointment of Robert G. Cameron to serve as the ombudsman for private education loans.

Mr. Cameron’s duties will include, among other matters, the receipt, review, and attempted resolution of complaints from borrowers who have student loans through private sources.
