CFPB to Hold UDAAP Symposium
On June 11, 2019, the CFPB announced that the first symposium of its symposia series will focus on abusive acts or practices under UDAAP. The symposium will be held on June 25th and it will feature two panels: one addressing policy issues relating to the abusive standard and the other examining how the abusive standard has been used in practice. Speakers will include a variety of UDAAP experts as well as CFPB Director Kathleen Kraninger and CFPB Deputy Director Brian Johnson.
The CFPB stated that they are no longer accepting in-person registrations for this event, but the symposium may be viewed as a webcast on the CFPB’s website. For more information on the CFPB’s symposia series, please see WBK’s federal industry news article dated May 2, 2019.
