FDIC Extends Compliance Date for New Sign and Advertising Requirements

The FDIC recently announced that it is extending the mandatory compliance date for revisions to regulations at subpart A of 12 C.F.R. Part 328.  The compliance date has been changed from January 1, 2025, to May 1, 2025.  As WBK previously reported, these changes affect (among other things) requirements regarding use and display of the FDIC sign, and disclosures differentiating deposits and non-deposit products access across all banking channels.

However, the January 1, 2025, compliance date still applies to revisions in the same final rule to regulations at subpart B of 12 C.F.R. Part 328 (generally dealing with misrepresentations of deposit insurance).
