FDIC Issues Annual Report on Efforts to Preserve and Promote Minority Depository Institutions

The FDIC released their 2019 annual report to Congress titled Preservation and Promotion of Minority Depository Institutions.  The report provides a summary profile of Minority Depository Institutions that includes structure and performance.  Also contained in the report is a description of the FDIC National Minority Depository Institutions Program (MDI), 2019 initiatives supporting MDIs, technical assistance, outreach, training and educational programs. 

FDIC continues to promote economic viability in providing access to capital in minority and underserved neighborhoods, the value of input MDI bankers contributes to best practices, partnerships, collaboration and lists as one of its top priorities promoting, preserving and building capacity of MDIs.
