FFIEC Issues Updated Cybersecurity Resource Guide

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) recently issued an update to its 2018 Cybersecurity Resource Guide for Financial Institutions. The purpose of the guide is to help financial institutions meet their security control objectives and prepare to respond to cyber incidents.

The Resource Guide outlines resources for assessments, exercises, information sharing, response/reporting, and ransomware. It also indicates whether the resources are free or paid.  Reflecting the increase in recent years in the severity and frequency of ransomware incidents, the updated guide now includes ransomware-specific resources.
