FHA Issues Mortgagee Letter 2020-08 to Announce FHA Catalyst: Claims Module

Mortgagee Letter 2020-08 announces FHA’s expedited completion, in light of operational difficulties that FHA mortgage servicers are facing due to COVID-19, of the FHA Catalyst: Claims Module – Single Family Forward Supplemental Claims Digital Submission, a new web-based platform through which mortgagees can submit supplemental claim packages required by 4000.1 FHA Single Family Housing Policy Handbook, Section IV.A.2.c.viii.A-B.

The Claims Module is the first live component of FHA’s technology modernization initiative, FHA Catalyst.  Mortgagees and/or their authorized party may submit supplemental claim packages through the web-based platform effective immediately.  The use of the web-based platform is optional; supplemental claim packages can also be submitted via mail.

Mortgagees may request access to the FHA Catalyst: Claims Module via the FHA Resource Center by emailing answers@hud.gov or by calling 1-800-Call FHA (1-800-225-5342).
