FTC Releases New Cybersecurity Resource for Small Businesses
The FTC recently launched a new website resource dedicated to helping small businesses protect against common cybersecurity threats. As we previously discussed in April 2018, the FTC has been engaged in a number of initiatives related to cybersecurity risks and best practices.
The new website contains succinct fact-sheets and videos on a dozen “need-to-know” topics, including: cybersecurity basics, physical security, ransomware, phishing, business email imposters, tech support scams, vendor security, cyber insurance, email authentication, web host hiring, secure remote access, and topics related to the National Institute of Standards and Technology cybersecurity framework.
The FTC is introducing each topic in a series of posts on their business blog. The latest posts include overviews of physical security and ransomware.
