Ginnie Mae Revises eNote Clauses

Effective January 1, 2023, Ginnie Mae is requiring the use of revised clauses for electronic notes (eNotes). The revised clauses can be found in section 2530.00 of Ginnie Mae’s Digital Collateral Program Guide and are designed to be clearer by using both plain language and words aligning more closely with the ESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act.  Ginnie Mae’s eNote clauses are now consistent with the eNotes clauses of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
