Major Social Media Company Data Breach Exposes the Personal Data of Users
On September 28, a major social media company announced a significant data breach, which exposed the personal data of at least 50 million user accounts.
Though the full scope of the attack is still uncertain, the company announced that the attackers exploited three software flaws in the company’s systems. The attackers gained access to the company’s user accounts and third-party accounts where users can log in with their social media accounts. According to the company, all three bugs have been fixed.
