Maryland Revises Statutes to Allow Remote Notarizations

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan signed into law on May 13, 2019, Senate Bill 678 to allow for remote online notarizations.

Among other things, the bill establishes the requirements for conducting electronic and remote notarizations in Maryland.  The law takes effect October 1, 2020.
