Oklahoma Amends Licensing Requirements for Certain Charitable Entities

Oklahoma recently amended its Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (Oklahoma SAFE Act).  Effective November 1, 2021, Oklahoma’s House Bill No. 1817 (HB 1817), which amends the licensing provisions of the Oklahoma SAFE Act, exempts entities that are recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, provided that they meet certain conditions outlined in the Oklahoma SAFE Act.
