SCOTUS Grants Cert Petition in Case Challenging CFPB’s Funding

This week, the U.S. Supreme Court granted the CFPB’s certiorari petition requesting review of Community Financial Services Association v. CFPB, a Fifth Circuit decision that declared the CFPB’s funding mechanism unconstitutional. The Supreme Court did not make an explicit ruling on the CFPB’s request for expedited review. The Supreme Court also denied the CFSA’s cross-petition.
