Tennessee Updates Do-Not-Call/Text Regulations

The Tennessee Public Utility Commission recently filed amended do-not-call regulations, effective October 7, 2024, which add language prohibiting unsolicited text messages, as required by a state statute passed in 2023.  The regulations were also amended to remove or modify sections that relate to now-outdated business practices, such as offering paper copies of the Do-Not-Call Register and referencing long distance toll telephone providers.
