USDA Announces Updates to Rural Development Handbook

The USDA Office of Rural Development recently released a Special Procedure Notice (Notice), announcing updates to the single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program Technical Handbook (HB-1-3555).

The announced changes to the USDA handbook are mostly administrative and provide clarification on terms used in the handbook.  The Notice announced updates to various program rates and the Treasury Judgement Rate that are reflected in Exhibit B to the Rural Development Manual.  The Notice revises Exhibit B to the Rural Development Manual to remove the 5-5 national office concurrence for Community Facilities loans within a state’s loan approval authority.

Finally, the Notice clarifies definitions within the Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program Technical Handbook.
