USDA Announces Updates to Rural Development Handbooks and Manual

The USDA Office of Rural Development recently released Procedure Notice 535, announcing updates to the Direct Single Family Housing Loans and Grants Handbook (HB-1-3550), Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program Technical Handbook (HB-1-3555), and Rural Development Manual.

In Procedure Notice 535, the USDA stated that it was revising Appendix 4 of HB-1-3550 to include a new effective interest rate for Above-Moderate Single Family Housing Non-Program Loans.  The USDA also noted that it was revising Appendix 2 of HB-1-3555 to remove and replace obsolete instructions and forms.  Further, in Procedure Notice 535, the USDA announced updates to various program rates and the Treasury Judgement Rate that are reflected in Exhibit B to the Rural Development Manual.
